Right, lets get the main thing out of the way. I’m sporting new glasses. After one lens dropped out of the frames of my old pair of glasses somewhere on a beach in Mexico and then having to resort to my backup NHS pair for the last few months it was time to spend a bit of cash on a new pair. I give you the geek glasses….
Don’t I look moody? What am I thinking about? Post a comment.
Have you seen the new Radiohead video for their new single ‘House of Cards’? Its rather special. No video cameras were used, instead 3D images and lasers scanned into a computer and the result mixed together using special software. All rather geeky but the no less, very impressive. Take a look.
The making of.
I bought a second hand iPod Touch 16gb off eBay as I knew the new 2.0 software was coming out and I really wanted a device with Mail and Twitter on it (I’m still banging on about it). The iPod had pretty bad scratch marks on the back cover, but with £7 I pimped it out with graphics from a French company called Skinizi. The graphics I opted for was by eBoy ‘New York’. I don’t normal like ‘Pimping’ things as 99% of the time they look chavy and ruin perfectly designed object. (Remember the Nokia express covers?? Lovely, especially the ones from the market).
I’ve posted some new photos on my Flickr page of my world trip as well as my weekend away to Brighton with Jodie. I left the Leica at home and instead bought the Fuji Instax camera with me. I think I captured the British seaside pretty well in 10 shots. I’m now waiting for the next batch of film to arrive from 7dayshop for my trip up to Liverpool.
Now, one thing I wanted to share with everyone was this brilliant website called stumbleupon.com. Like me I bet you get stuck looking are the same websites over and over again (Facebook, Youtube. Flickr……. Twitter ;-) heehee) But we have to remember there is a whole internet out there that needs to be explored and that is where Stumble Upon comes in to its own.
Like any 2.0 website you must create a profile first. You then download a tool bar for your browser and choose sites that are relevant to you. So if you are in to Macs, clubbing, fashion, art or Trains ;-) you would tick those boxes. Now you are ready to rock and all you have to do is hit your Stumble button on your browsers and that will take you to a random websites in the categories you have chosen. Its amazing, in the passed 2 weeks I have found so many interesting sites which i never knew where out there. Well worth signing up for.

That skin on your iPod touch looks a bit like the cover of Soundboy Rock by Groove Armada.
I nearly got some glasses like that, then decided I wanted to be blind for a bit longer. Like if I pretend I can see properly it’ll all start coming back to me again. If only :(
